Quantum tricks allow a particle to be transported from one location to another without passing through the intervening space – or that’s how it appears. The reality is that the process is more like faxing, where the information held by one particle is written onto a distant particle.
SHORTLISTED | Quantum Shorts 2014
This film is part of a series of videos produced through a collaboration of physicists specialized in quantum physics and students in a design school : "quantum design" (www.designquantique.fr). These videos are used in outreach talks, exhibits in science museums and online to engage large public with new ways to present quantum physics.
The quantum design project (www.designquantique.fr) is a partnership between the design school ENSCI-LES ATELIERS and physicists from université Paris Sud and CNRS. It was supported by la Diagoale Paris-Saclay, the institut de Physique of the CNRs, université Paris Sud and the Société Française de Physique. The author of the film is a design student, Natacha Poutoux.
